Batchworth Community Council Receives First Tranche of CIL

On the 31st October 2017, Batchworth Community Council received the first tranche of Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), from the development at Town Wharf. This amounted to £108,000 and there is still more to come on the 31st October 2018.

The Community Council will start the process of developing a Neighbourhood Plan early in 2018 and it is anticipated that this will give a clear indication of residents and businesses wishes on how this money should be spent on infrastructure within the Town Ward.

More details of CIL can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/community-infrastructure-levy
