New Environmental Grants Scheme

Batchworth Community Council has launched a new Environmental Grants Scheme. Small grants, up to £500, are available for local groups to run their own environmental projects. Grants may cover projects such as pond creation, wildflower areas, community gardens or allotments, woodland creation, installation of bird and bat boxes. They may include sustainability measures such as energy-saving and rainwater harvesting or educational features such as information boards or educational events. They may even include ‘citizen science’ projects such as environmental monitoring.

The deadline for receipt of the first applications is Friday 28 February 2020. More details of our grants scheme and an application form may be found here.
